Mary
Dworsky Mary Dworsky is the kind of Quotarian you want on your team when the deadlines are looming and things need to get done pronto! Mary has been on the fast track since she joined Quota in 2002. After assisting with the club's annual style show and luncheon fund-raiser for three years, she spearheaded the event as president-elect and Ways and Means Committee chair in 2005-2006. It was the most successful fund-raiser yet with over $8,000 raised for club operations and service! Most recently, Mary coordinated all the detailsfrom luau decorating to ice cream deliveryfor the club's recent Time for Dancin' statewide high school dance for deaf and hard of hearing students. No shyness hereMary was out on the dance floor decked out in Hawaiian style, coaxing kids into having their pictures taken. Mary has over 30 years of experience in the field of interior design and opened her own firm in 2000. Her designs have won two Trillium Awards for Best Interior Design and a MAME award for Marketing and Merchandising, and Best Interior Design Presentation from the Twin Cities Builders Association. Mary was also the president of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). She has mentored two interns from high school design programs and six college interns since establishing her own firm. In 2003 Mary co-chaired the Community Service Committee of ASID-MN, which designed the interiors for the first group home in the country that is for mentally ill women and their children. In 2004 she was on the committee that designed an apartment building for homeless teens. This year the committee is working on remodeling the interiors of seven cabins for the Boys and Girls Club. Her community service involvement also includes the National Council of Jewish Women, Uptown Rotary, and the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery. Mary, you have added a special flair to our meetings and events and your
Quota sisters love you! Congratulations on your selection as our Club's
