Wearing one of her many "hats" is Quota President Leola Daniels, left, with charter member Lila Farr as they prepare for riding in the Truman State University Homecoming Parade. This year's theme was "Branded a Bulldog" and the college students weren't the only ones sharing in the fun!

    Leola Daniels
    Quota International of Kirksville, MO

Leola Daniels became a member of Quota International of Kirksville in 1998 and has been a valuable asset to our club, always giving 110 percent.

This Quotarian is fun, organized, and, above all, dedicated. She is dedicated to her faith, her family, her friends, her Quota club, and numerous other organizations. She has worn, and continues to wear, many hats.

Initially she was attendance chair. From there Leola just kept "changing hats." She was a fantastic secretary, co-chaired the Ways and Means Committee with efficiency and lots of hard work, and has served on the Community Service and Disadvantaged Women and Children committees, and chaired the Membership/Social Committee with endless energy, while serving as vice president. She has also co-chaired the Joint Prayer Breakfast Committee for the last three years, and last year was club president. As president, Leola exceeded all expectations.

Leola is a retired school teacher, having taught for 36 years in various capacities. After retiring, she and her husband Bob returned home and have devoted this time to family and community.

In her spare tim,e Leola has served several offices in the Missouri Retired Teachers Association and also in the El Kadir Jewels. She is also active in the Kirksville Arts Association, Adair County Historical Society, Sojourners Club, and the Novinger Alumni Association.

Leola is active and energetic, devoting her time and her talents to many worthwhile organizations that benefit so many in our community and in our state. Hats off to you, Leola! The Kirksville club is pleased to introduce you as our 2006 Volunteer of the Year.
