Nancy
Gallihugh Nancy Gallihugh, M.S., CCC-A, has been a member of the Kalamazoo club for the past four years. In that short time she has generously shared her talents and professional skills with other members and the community. When a news release needs to be written to highlight a particular event, Nancy cheerfully volunteers. When contacts need to be made between students with a hearing loss and an athletic team prior to a fund-raising event, Nancy coordinates the classroom time and the teams. Conference planning has been made easier when Nancy volunteers to prepare the mailings and other materials. In her role as secretary, Nancy prepares the minutes well in advance
of meetings and works to make sure that all of the members receive information
in a timely manner. Many of the club's forms and procedures have been
revised due to Nancy's skills. Nancy is a member of the staff at Constance Brown Hearing Centers. She received her Masters of Science degree from Western Illinois University. And she received her Certificate of Clinical Competency in Audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. She has extensive experience in clinical and industrial audiology. She manages her organization's hearing conservation programs and administers their educational audiology services to hearing-impaired students in the Kalamazoo Public Schools. In addition to being a member of Quota, Nancy is a member of the Educational Audiology Association and the National Hearing Conservation Association. Nancy may not have been a member of Quota for long, but she is a positive and caring person who shares her knowledge and energy willingly, and the members of Quota International of Kalamazoo are delighted to honor her with our club's 2006 Volunteer of the Year Award.
