    Janet Satterfield
    Quota International of Fairmont, WV


    Janet Satterfield has been a member of Quota International of Fairmont since 1994 and is a life-long resident of Fairmont, West Virginia. Janet has strong community and family roots—
    her mother is also a Quotarian. She has been a teacher of hearing-impaired children and youth in the Marion County, West Virginia, school system for 22 years.

    Janet Satterfield exemplifies the true spirit of volunteerism. She is dedicated to the service of others. Janet has been a member of QI of Fairmont's Board of Directors since her initiation in 1994. She has served two terms as club president and is currently the lieutenant governor of First District of Quota International.

    Janet is dedicated serving children and youth, especially hearing-impaired children and youth. In addition to teaching hearing-impaired children and youth for 22 years, she has worked with the West Virginia Association of Student Councils for 16 years and has served as that association's workshop director for seven years. She has also helped with their National Leadership Camp for five years. Janet has also been a Youth Leadership Facilitator for the Marion County Chamber of commerce for three years.

    Through her work with hearing-impaired individuals, Janet has helped direct Quota of Fairmont to worthy service projects for the hearing impaired. Among those has been our annual project for children at the deaf camp at Jackson's Mill, West Virginia. Janet has also been a Deaf Camp volunteer. Janet also serves on the Marion County Reading Council, the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, and she is a member of Alpha Delta Kappa education honorary.

    Janet Satterfield is an asset to her community and an asset to Quota International as a dedicated volunteer.
