Jean Marshall

Jean Marshall has been a member of the Winnipeg Quota club for 10 years and rarely misses a meeting even though she has a 45-minute drive each way to attend. If we are having an event that she must miss, her participation is always evident. When asked to do something, Jean is always willing. In addition to her volunteer work with Quota, Jean also drives cancer patients for treatments and has been instrumental in fund-raising for an addition with 12 rooms to be added to a senior residence in Woodlands, Manitoba. The addition has been approved, and the building will begin as soon as the necessary paperwork has been completed. Jean received a Caring Canadian Volunteer Award from the governor general this past year. It was presented by the lieutenant governor of Manitoba. True to Jean's thoughtfulness, she had the award ceremony at the seniors' residence, so that they would all be able to attend. Jean Marshall is truly an inspirational volunteer in her community.
