    Judy Buzowetsky
    Quota International of Weyburn, SK


    Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Judy Buzowetsky has served her community through Quota and at least a dozen other volunteer agencies; Judy is generous with her time and talents. A member of Quota for 35 years, she has held the offices of president, secretary, and treasurer of Quota International of Weyburn. She has served as district governor for District 11 for two terms and last year completed her term as Canada Area director. Judy is a trusted advisor and is friendly, caring, and capable. Recently retired, Judy was a home economics teacher in Weyburn for 31 of her 34 teaching years. She was service-minded in her
    professional life as well, holding office and working for the Weyburn Teacher's Association, the Saskatchewan Home Economics Teacher's Association (of which she was a founding member), the Canadian College of Teachers, and the Home Economics Curriculum Planning Committee for Saskatchewan. She is presently co-chairing the national conference of the Canadian College of Teachers. A member of the Senate of the University of Saskatchewan for two three-year terms, Judy has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Governors. A recipient of the Red Cross Society Distinguished Service Medal and the Canadian College of Teachers Fellowship and George G. Croskery Award, Judy was also recently awarded the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal and the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal by the Government of Canada.
