Tressa Youngbear
Quota International of Cedar Rapids, IA

Tressa Youngbear contributes so much to Quota International of Cedar Rapids that it is difficult to know where to begin. Tressa assumes many duties on a daily basis, and she has also been willing to accept the responsibility for various complicated projects as well. When everyone else was a little leery of taking on the challenge of chairing the District Conference, Tressa leapt at the opportunity. From checking out hotel locations, to organizing committees, and getting each member involved, she has truly been responsible for putting the "magic" in the District 7 "Quota Signs of Magic" Conference. Tressa has also been instrumental in jazzing up our annual Yearbook. By adding pictures from various club activities, she's helped us to re-live our memories. Then, she put individual member pictures next to each member listing, making it easier for new members to recognize all of the individuals that make up the club. Tressa has been at the forefront of many of our fund-raisers: selling geraniums, contacting possible prize sponsors for our Multi-Charity Golf Tournament, and manning the Quota booth at the Ethnic Festival. We also discovered Tressa's hidden talents as a popcorn vendor when we worked the concession booth at a University of Iowa football game. Tressa married her best friend, Irvin, in 1971, and the two of them have two daughters—Kathy and Karrie—and two "grandcats," Einstein and Macio. Tressa likes to travel, camp, read, and do Native American crafts like beading and finger weaving. She is also an active volunteer outside of Quota, serving on five boards at the state level. Tressa is a great asset to Quota International of Cedar Rapids. Through her hard work, enthusiasm, dedication, overall vision, and positive attitude, she makes everyone else in the club a better member, and that's what a truly outstanding person accomplishes.
