Janis
Clyde Janis Clyde has been an outstanding Quotarian since her installation
in 2001. As a new member, she jumped in to lead the Decorating Committee
for the club's "Derby Days" fund-raiser. She then agreed to
be a two-year board member. She was so committed, she co-chaired the fund-raising
event the following year. Janis has also chaired the club's Community
Service Committee, actively seeking other organizations to benefit from
the club's free hearing screenings. She led the committee to organize
the club's Highway Clean-up, Eagleman Triathlon, and Seafood Feast-I-Val.
She can be seen during the holidays, ringing the bell for the Salvation
Army. Outside of Quota, Janis is married to Bill and has a "spoiled"
dog named McKenzie. Janis's husband has also been a huge help to the club.
He is always there when the ladies need a strong arm. Janis has already
agreed to serve as club treasurer in 2005-2006. She is always willing
and able to help with anything that needs to be done. She is the type
of member that every club hopes to have join. To return to the 2004 Volunteers of the Year main page, click here.
