Lilian has been an active member of the Redcliffe Quota club for the last 22 years. She has been the club's bingo promoter for approximately 15 years, and this past year, she initiated the idea of holding a Charity Bingo Day on public holidays, when there would not normally have been a session. The first of these was held in conjunction with the Lions Club for the Redcliffe Hospital Palliative Care Unit and raised just over $5,000. The second was held for the Drought Appeal and raised $1,000. The third was held for the Endeavor Foundation and raised just over $2,000. Lilian gives freely of her time and expertise to advertise, organize, and run these charity sessions to raise much-needed funds for community organizations. Lilian also initiated a fellowship breakfast BBQ on the beach this year, when membership morale was ebbing. The event was a huge success. She has opened her home on two occasions for club activities and always puts her hand up when there is a job to be done. Lilian is a very willing member of her club, and Quota International of Redcliffe members feel fortunate that she is part of their club.
