    Kate Polk
Quota International of Fort Collins, CO

Kate Polk is an outstanding Quota member who leads by example. When Kate participated in the local "Step Together" walk, benefiting disadvantaged women and children in Larimer County, she won the walking portion. She has helped serve brunch at the Project Self-Sufficiency fund-raiser for six years, and has been a guard at the "Hall of Trees" Christmas fund-raiser for the Symphony Guild. She was an enthusiastic captain of the Quota team in the MS Walk, with the team ranking fifth in the state for funds raised. Kate and the Fort Collins Quota club received the Mayor's Award for their efforts to enhance the lives of the disabled through the Hearing Aid Bank. Furthermore, Kate often provides transportation to bring older Quota members to meetings. In addition to her service work, Kate has also served as the club president for two years. Outside of Quota, Kate volunteers with a local non-profit facility for the mentally and physically handicapped and lends a hand at the local food co-op. She is always happy to do for others, and her example inspires other members to volunteer their time and their smiles.
