Betty Heltzel

Betty Heltzel began volunteering at Fairmont General Hospital in 1985 as treasurer of the Hospital Volunteer Association, a position she continues to hold to this day. She volunteers at the hospital information desk and gift shop, giving over 6,000 hours of service to the hospital thus far. She has also served as treasurer, vice president, and district counselor for the Auxiliary of the West Virginia Hospital Association. Betty is very active in her church as well. She has been treasurer of Central Christian Church in Fairmont for 12 years and previously was financial secretary for eight years. She has been a member and soloist of the adult choir for 49 years, is a serving elder, and a member of the General Board and Pastoral Relations Committee. She also volunteers for Meals on Wheels. Betty has been a Quotarian since 1978 and has served in various positions, including treasurer, vice president, and service chairman. She is currently the corresponding secretary and chairman of the Courtesy and Public Affairs Committee.
