Joann
Bannatyne-Cugnet Jo Bannatyne-Cugnet has had an impact on the communities of
Weyburn, Estevan, and Regina and the province. Active in Quota since the day
she joined in 1994, Jo has chaired a major committee each year and has held
the offices of vice president and president. She displays dedication, enthusiasm,
creativity, and organizational skills and is further described as a "fund-raiser
extraordinaire." She is politically active, personally lobbying for causes
such as school bus safety. Her softer side is seen as an empathetic and understanding
friend and colleague, serving as a compassionate listener and a fountain of
practical help. Although she has published five children's books, with a sixth
book due in fall '03, her writing frequently falls to the back burner, due
to her inability to say "no." Even in her professional life, Jo
is community- and service-minded. Valleyview Petroleums, an oil company formed
by Jo and her husband Ken, is noted for its community involvement. |
