Helen Taylor
Quota International of Owen Sound, ONT

Helen Taylor joined the Owen Sound Quota club in 1957, and she proved to be an active member right from the start. She accepted the responsibility of secretary within a short period of time, followed by other duties including treasurer, director, and member of the budget and finance committee. She has held many chairmanship positions, including that of community chairman, which required that she attend, when requested, the meetings of other local women's groups, as well as meeting with other women in trying to establish a branch of Big Sisters in Owen Sound. Helen represented the club several times as a voting delegate and as conference registrar. In later years, Helen served on many club committees. Now age 87, Helen resides in a senior's home and attends club meetings as her health permits. Her official membership ended December 31, 2001, but she is the club's own special member, having been bestowed with an honorary designation.
