Shirley Wetmore
Quota International of Ottawa, ONT

As a Quota Club member, Shirley Wetmore exudes enthusiasm and the spirit of volunteerism. She began her professional career as an Occupational Therapist and became a teacher in 1954, a profession she enjoyed until 1983. In September 1974, Shirley joined the Quota Club of Ottawa and has been an active and contributing member ever since. She can always be counted on to coax a smile out of everyone present as the "staff" photographer at Quota events. She is Quota's representative for the Council of Women. Never wanting any member to miss an event or activity, Shirley can always be counted on to transport members to meetings or lend a helping hand. Actively involved in church and community, Shirley participates in many outreach programs, whether providing pastoral care and visitation; visiting hospital patients; or providing transportation to and from the hospital. In all aspects of her life, Shirley Wetmore gives back to those who are less fortunate. According to Shirley, "We need, each and all, to be needed and to feel we have something to give." A true Quotarian indeed!
