    Alice Bieser
    Quota International of Orillia, ONT

Alice Bieser considers herself a "lifetime" volunteer, having started at an early age as a teacher's helper in elementary school, moving on to class secretary in high school, and then on to a member of the student council at Southern Illinois University. Her volunteer career continued with activities focused on family, children, and church and then broadened to include many varied fields and interests. She is most proud of her 18-year membership in the Quota Club of Orillia and all that the club has accomplished. Her many achievements include being founder of the Green Haven Shelter for Abused Women and their Children; founder and facilitator of the Orillia Depression, Anxiety, Manic Depression (DAMD) Self Help Group; and one of the instrumental members of a group of concerned citizens who brought 9-1-1 services to Orillia and the surrounding area. While not in the volunteer trenches, you can probably find Alice enjoying one of her four grandchildren.
