    Barbara Rowe
    Quota International of
    Forster-Tuncurry, NSW

A member of the Forster-Tuncurry Quota club for over 5 years, Barbara Rowe has twice been chair of Community Involvement—a very active part of the club's service. She has been the primary organizer of "Daffodil Days," which has contributed several thousands of dollars each year to the Cancer Council. She has also helped organize the catering for the International Women's Day Breakfasts—no small task! For the past two years, Barbara has been vice president of the Forster-Tuncurry Inner Wheel Club (wives of Rotarians), and she sets the agenda and helps serve for Meals on Wheels. She personally visits two elderly ill women and assists young families in crisis as a HomeStart volunteer. However, one of Barbara's main volunteer activities is the work she and her husband do with the Young Carers' Camp. For six successive years, Barbara has organized a free camp to provide a break for young people (ages 8-12) who care for a parent or sibling with a mental or physical disability. Barbara and husband Harold help out with expenses and spend much time ensuring that the Young Carers have an active, fun camp.
