    Norma Barnes
    Quota International of Bathurst, NSW

Norma Barnes is described as an "amazing" Quotarian by those who have had the privilege of working with her. Norma joined Quota in 1956. In 1966/67, she served as district secretary/treasurer and followed with a term as president of Bathurst in 1969/70. In her year as president, the club increased its membership by five and won the District Cup for membership. Whether she is contributing to meetings and functions or committing her time to a community service project, Norma's level of activity and commitment is as strong today as it was the day she joined. Without a doubt, 2001 can be called The Year of Norma. In this year, she was named "Most Inspiring Volunteer" by the Volunteering Expressions of Australia Awards, selected as Volunteer of the Month by the local newspaper, and went on to be named Volunteer of the Year at the Australia Day celebrations.
