Quota Role Models Help Teen-aged Mothers

Quota volunteers in Cupertino, California, U.S.A., make a difference for teen parents. Club members launched a program called Teens with Tots, designed to offer teens a variety of role models who have achieved career success to keep the young parents in school and working toward an attainable goal.

Club members offer career discussions, shadowing, and work site visitations. The teens are also invited as special guests to Quota luncheons. Here's what our Quota proteges have to say after participating in the Cupertino program:

"I am a mother of a beautiful girl. I will attend college, then attend medical school. I am going to be a doctor specializing in pediatrics."—Maritza

"I want to be an elementary school teacher."—Clara

"I want to study finance and would like to shadow someone in the business field."—Jennifer
