    Junior Quota Clubs

Most high schools and colleges now mandate community service as a requirement for graduation. Junior Quota Clubs would operate in much the same way, providing a natural feeder program for membership into local Quota Clubs. The outgrowth of this project would be a new source of volunteers and, ultimately, a new source of membership in Quota International.

In order to establish a Junior Quota Club, a connection is made with a local high school or college. A list of suggested community activities for the Junior Club member would be presented and the local Quota Club would monitor the Junior Club's service activity. The Junior Club officers would serve as the liaison with the Quota club, coordinating activities between the two groups.

QI of Coral Springs/Parkland has been successful in attracting ASL (American Sign Language) students from local high schools to become part of a Junior Quota Club, a service project idea described on the We Share Foundation Web site. The club created "Junior Club Guidelines" to facilitate the formation and operation of the junior club. The goal is to benefit ASL students by inspiring and mentoring them while at the same time cultivating them as future professionals to join the larger Quota family.
