"The club also participated in the SART program. This program for
children, who have been sexually assaulted, provides bags with personal
effects."

"The club has program that teaches abused women skills to support
themselves."
QI of Maryborough, Queensland, Australia
"The club supplies toiletry packs, children's toiletry packs, and
baby needs to the Women's Crisis Center."
QI of Parkes, New South Wales, Australia
"We donated items to a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
We also held knitting nights at the shelter. The club also provided Christmas
presents for the children."

QI of Alstonville-Wollongbar, New South Wales, Australia
"Club placed defibrillators in local fire stations. This is an area
where ambulances are farther away and the people from the fire stations
are able to respond much more quickly."
QI of Fairbanks, Alaska, U.S.A.
"We provide Quota Care Bags to individuals who have lost personal
items because of fire or other disasters. Our club also distributed Quota
Care Bags to men and women who have been injured in the war in the Middle
East. The club has received publicity through newspaper coverage of this
program. The bags include toiletry items such as shampoo, combs, brushes,
toothpaste, etc."
QI of Monrovia Duarte, California, U.S.A.
"Club donated bears to the fire department, police department, and
pediatric ward of the hospital."
QI of Orillia, Ontario, Canada
"Purchased a trailer to be set up and used by police. It is taken
to festivals and events in the district. It contains all the things police
would need in an emergency. The trailer provides ongoing advertising for
Quota."
QI of Sterling, Colorado, U.S.A.
"Donated emergency travel packs for ambulance hospital transfers
from regional hospital to large medical centers. Give out about 90 a month."

QI of Condobolin, New South Wales, Australia
"Club purchased nonperishable food and household products, packaged
at local supermarket, and distributed these items to needy families affected
by drought. They were distributed by the Drought Relief Agency. This helped
the club because of the increased fellowship of the members. The good
publicity also increased the club's public profile and there was a good
feeling of satisfaction in having done something right."
QI of Forster-Tuncurry, New South Wales, Australia
"Participated in a drought relief program for disadvantaged women.
Three clubs in our area joined together and sent personal items to women
struggling to support families in areas affected by drought."
QI of Southeast Texas, Texas, U.S.A.
"The club helped process Hurricane Katrina refugees into their local
area. They also helped the refugees get access to the numerous services
that were available to them."

QI of Beaudesert, Queensland, Australia
"Club provided games, TV, etc., for children visiting the local prison."
QI of Flint, Michigan, U.S.A
"The club worked with jails. They placed computer systems into hospitals,
jails, etc., where deaf people can make use of them instead of waiting
for an interpreter. There is a system on 24 hours a day for those using
the system."
QI of Massillon, Ohio, U.S.A.
"Quota and PAL teaming together. The project started with a grant
to help young women who were incarcerated. Members came to the prison
with an artist and offered classes for eight weeks. During the process,
members became mentors. Now the club is doing a painting exhibition. Quota
is framing and selling the paintings with the proceeds going to furnish
a halfway house for the women."
