"Worked with district council to establish a sensory garden in a
central city park. This was established about 20 years ago. Currently
the club is in discussion with the district council to upgrade and replant
the garden. In addition, members went to a special school and took the
children out to lunch and to an animal park to give the parents some time
off. Some members hadn't worked with or been with handicapped children,
so it was a learning situation for them."
