    Elizabeth Weber
    Quota International of Batavia, NY

As a 15-year member of QI of Batavia, Elizabeth Weber has held every executive club office except secretary and has also served as District 17 Governor. Currently she holds the position of club treasurer. After learning of the importance of newborn hearing screening, Elizabeth dedicated her service time to raising money in order to purchase an ABRE machine for such use, to be donated to the local hospital. After three years of hard work and fund raising, her club was able to purchase the $14,000 machine. Elizabeth had personally collected over 3,800 pounds of clothes (a full two-car garage's worth), which were then purchased by a textile company at a minimal cost, later to be donated to disaster relief organizations. The money raised from this collection was placed towards the purchase of the ABRE device. In addition to such amazing fund raising, Elizabeth is also the president of the Business and Professional Women's Club of Batavia, New York, and still works full-time as a bookkeeper. The Genesee County Chamber of Commerce recently named her Genesee-an of the Year for her outstanding volunteer work.
