After twenty-eight years of giving to the community, Betty Smith is still giving strong. As a member of the Auxiliary of the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Betty delivers magazines and essentials to patients, making their time there a more pleasurable one. Other days she is out delivering food with Meals on Wheels or knitting beanie hats for both adults and children living on the streets of Brisbane. When it comes to baking, Betty takes the (lemon) cake! Her tomato relish and lemon cake sales are huge fundraisers—almost the club's largest last year! Betty is a true friend, a true volunteer, and a true Quotarian.
