Australian Quotarians Host a Special
Sort of Olympics

The Sydney 2000 Olympics sparked creative flair in an Australian Quota club, which harnessed the spirit of the games to raise awareness of breast cancer.

The Quota Above-the-Waist Olympics, sponsored by the Nundah/Clayfield Quota club in Queensland, encouraged the participation of other Australian service clubs in a hilarious activity to highlight a very serious threat to women.

The mock Olympic events included:

• Hang the Underwear on the Line Relay
• Most Creative Above-the-Waist Clothing
• Thread the Spoon Relay
• Three-Handed Relay
• Silent Treasure Hunt
• Most Grains of Rice
  Collected

In addition to winners of these unique events, special prizes were awarded to the Most Creatively Dressed Team; Team with the Most Laughter; Team Who Lost the Most Events; Team Who Won the Most Events.

Most of all, everyone in attendance was a winner for learning more about a deadly disease and ways to protect breast health.
