    South Bluefield Supports Housing Center

When Washingtonians hear the name "Kennedy Center," images of privilege emerge, for the center along the Potomac River is a grand showcase for the arts. But, for Quota volunteers in South Bluefield, West Virginia, U.S.A., Kennedy Center takes on an entirely different meaning.

The Alice Kennedy Transitional Housing Center in South Bluefield provides temporary shelter to low-income families. The Quota club's favorite service projects involve assisting the needy residents, particularly during the holidays.

The club hosts a Christmas party for the more than 30 residents, complete with food and gifts galore. The club also furnished apartments in the facility with bedroom, living room, and kitchen furnishings.
