Spotlight on Service at Quota International Convention

The 2002 Quota International Convention, July 19-22 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, brought together more than 450 Quota members from 10 countries at the stately downtown Omni William Penn Hotel to get the latest Quota International news, vote on important organizational matters, and enjoy fun and fellowship with other members from around the globe.

The We Share Foundation sponsored a service showcase to highlight the work of Quota volunteers that is supported by Foundation grants and technical assistance. Here are some highlights. Click on them for details:

• Clubs and Districts in the U.S.A. and Australia offered updates on successful lobbying efforts to mandate Universal Hearing Screening.
  
  
• QI of Barrie, Ontario, Canada, shared the uplifting story of their club's Fellowship Partners Grant recipient.
  
  
• QI of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, U.S.A., touched our hearts with a great idea for meetings.
  
  
• QI of Monrovia-Duarte, California, U.S.A., introduced us to an excellent Youth Outreach project.
  
  
• Club-to-Club projects are making a difference in developing countries!
