Suriname

QI of Suriname has refurbished the dilapidated building that houses a day center for children victimized by AIDS. Club-to-Club donations have replaced the sagging, leaking roof, repaired the walls and floors, freshened up the interior space with cheerful colors of new paint, and built a new enclosure around the playground. Work continues to make the center, run by the Claudia A. Foundation, a place where these children are safe and comfortable for at least a portion of their day.
