QI of Iloilo continues to help deaf and hearing-impaired persons through
a job cooperative that offers seed money for business growth and shares the
profits among co-op members.
QI
of Las Pinas is helping Little Angels Home for orphaned and abandoned
children in their community become a viable refuge of hope. Quota members
share time and plenty of hugs with children there and provide many material
needs for the home with Club-to-Club donations.
QI
of Manila helped a group of prison inmates at the Women's Correctional
Institute in their city to prepare for a new life in society. Therapy, job
skills, literacy training, and encouragement eased the transition for women
who otherwise would leave prison without hope of changing the lifestyle that
led to incarceration in the first place.
QI
of Manila South continues to expand programs at the Morong-Rizal Center
for the Disabled, which was built with Club-to-Club donations. The center
is now a gathering place for handicapped persons as well as a venue for medical
treatment and training.
