    Working Together for Service Success

Quota clubs often partner with other organizations for greater service impact in their communities. The Morgantown club in West Virginia, U.S.A., helps disadvantaged adults with hearing loss by working together with HEAR NOW, a non-profit organization in Colorado that provides hearing aids at the very low rate of $30 each.

More than 11 million adults in the U.S. are hearing-impaired-a figure expected to rise as Baby Boomers reach Modern Maturity. Medicare does not cover hearing amplification, and low-income adults often can't afford to purchase hearing aides-until now…HEAR NOW.

The Morgantown club refers hearing-impaired adults to the group first. If the person qualifies for services, the club picks up the tab for the devices. Then, a club member, who is also an audiologist, volunteers her time to help the person at no cost.

This GREAT IDEA keeps Morgantown's service dollars working harder for members of their community!
