    Quota Connections

The Christmas on the East Bank Tour of Homes, sponsored by the Bossier City Quota club, will open five notable houses to the public this year. Two of the homes have particular significance for Quota.

    Wyatt home

The 1937 home that once belonged to charter club member Geneva Wyatt is particularly meaningful to Quota members. Past International President Rosemary Patterson, also a club member, says, Geneva's "husband was a cabinetmaker who customized their home with his work. After their deaths, their grandson moved the old house to a new location and remodeled it, keeping a lot of his grandparents' things."

Another home on the tour belongs to Janey Macey, who received a 1998 Quota scholarship for studies in speech and hearing pathology at Louisiana State University at Shreveport. The club kicked off preparations and publicity for the 2002 Tour of Homes with the presentation of this year's scholarships to two LSUS students, to reminding patrons just how valuable their donations are.

In addition to ticket sales, the Tour of Homes includes sponsors at $500, $250, $100, $50, and $25 levels. Tour tickets are $10 each.

Following this year's tour, a reception, with entertainment assembled by PIP Rosemary, will be held in an apartment community owned by event co-chair and publicity chair Marsha Wilson.
