    What’s It Like in Aruba?

The Aruba club has a "Friendship Match" with the Worcester Quota club in Massachusetts, U.S.A. These matches are one of the great benefits of membership in Quota International because they help members get to know other Quota members throughout the world. Members of Friendship Match clubs correspond with one another and meet during Quota conventions.

Here's how the Aruba club introduced itself to the Worcester club:

Aruba is an island in the Caribbean, near the coast of Venezuela, with an area of 75 square miles. The island's population is about 90,000.

Aruba is part of the Dutch Kingdom. Until 1986, Aruba was part of the Netherlands Antilles. Since 1986, Aruba has had a "Status Apart" within the Dutch Kingdom.

We are part of Quota International's District 42, formed on October 9, 2000, and Quota's newest district. District 42 currently includes the clubs of Aruba, Curacao, Rotterdam (The Netherlands), and Suriname.

Our club has 50 members. We hold general membership meetings twice a month. We are dedicated to helping hearing- and speech-impaired persons on the island and women and children in difficulty. We also dedicate ourselves to other areas in our community that need our support.
