Quotarians Share Their Favorite Service Projects: Results from Quotas Convention 2006 Leaders as Listeners Town Meeting
Quota's 2006 Convention in Australia's Gold Coast was a whirlwind of Quota fellowship and fun. The memories will last a lifetime, and the outcomes of important business and service meetings will have a lasting impact on clubs worldwide. One of the most exciting meetings was the Leaders as Listeners town meetinga gold mine of great service and fund-raising ideas. In small groups, members discussed their clubs' most successful projectsthose that garnered publicity for the club, built and strengthened relationships between members, and served others in need. Each member could then return to their club with the many ideas generated in their small group. This conversation also led to a long list of best practices, as each group selected its three best service ideas for the We Share Foundation to compile and share with Quota's members and clubs worldwide. The result is a "directory" of more than 150 fantastic service projects that will inspire a club trying to start a new project or add some sparkle to a tried-and-true one. These projects are remarkable in their diversity: some are long-term, ongoing projects while others are one-time events; some work in partnership with other organizations while others stand alone; some provide financial support to those in need while others provide equipment and services. Within this list, there is truly something for everyone. These great ideas are organized into three different directories, an approach that will help you sort through the types of projects that interest you and your fellow club members most. DIRECTORY
