    Honors for Quota Past Presidents

Two past presidents of Quota International have been recognized publicly for outstanding volunteer service—one in Canada and the other in the U.S.

    Helen MacDonald
    QI of Mariposa, Ontario, Canada
    Quota International President, 1989-1990

Past International President Helen MacDonald received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal from the Parliament of Ontario, Canada, for significant contributions to her community and her country. The commemorative medal was created to mark the 50th Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne of the United Kingdom.

PIP Helen joined the Quota club of Orillia, Ontario, in 1963 and served in many leadership capacities in her club, district, and on the International Board. In 2000, she organized a new Quota club—the Mariposa Silver Q club—to cater to senior members from Orillia.

In addition, she served as president of the Orillia Council of Women and supported numerous local charitable efforts.

    Bobbie Carey
QI of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, U.S.A.
    Quota International President, 1996-1997

Past International President Barbara "Bobbie" Carey received honors as a community activist in Baton Rouge. Called a role model for volunteers among professionals and business leaders, she was recognized during a prestigious luncheon ceremony for her many contributions to local efforts.

PIP Bobbie served as Quota's international president from 1996 to 1997 and launched the organization's infant hearing screening initiative. In addition, she served six years on the board of the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation, guiding them through a strategic planning process, writing their plan, and organizing board orientations.

PIP Bobbie also worked locally with O'Brien House, the Baton Rouge Theatre Board, the United Way, and her church.

The We Share Foundation is proud to recognize the well-deserved honors of this outstanding leader of Quota International.
