Springfield Quota Mentors Scouts

Springfield Quota members in Massachusetts, U.S.A., work with local Girl Scouts in a program called "Happy and Proud to be a Girl." The mentoring program teaches girls the importance of values, leadership skills, citizenship, and diversity.

Club members from various professions offer presentations to the girls on goal-setting and achieving dreams in life. While the girls benefit from the positive role models among Quota volunteers, the Quota members report that they benefit, too, from the knowledge that they are making a difference. The scouts' schools report better academic performance among program participants.
