I was told from day one, my Primary MOS is 12B, your Secondary MOS is 11B (Combat Infantrymen). Which didn't bother me much, when I was on active duty I was a 19D20 (Cav Scout) w/ a secondary of 11B20....already. I choose the Engineers because that was the type of unit that was in my town at the time. I hope that answers the question for you. It is the second closest thing to Infantry. Combat Eng can be a very action filled job depending on where your stationed. If you chose this then there is still a big chance you will be deployed even as a Reservist. It is a male only job, woman are not permitted to serve in combat (on the FL) But woman can also have combat jobs (Combat Systems Operator) CSO. etc. My partner is a combat engineer. The 1st job of a soldier is infantry. Your MOS is secondary. Also, if you don't want to be in combat it would make sense NOT to sign up for an MOS that's first word is combat.. As in COMBAT engineer! On the other hand there are numerous websites claiming Israelis are terrorists, it's easy to put anything on a website. The only way to know what happened would be to actually be there, but in all honesty I am glad to be no where near close to the situation.
