You only have one chance to make a good first impression. Thanks to the junior members of Quota International of Cambridge, Maryland, nine women from the New Beginnings program at Greenwood Apartments have an opportunity to make a great first impression with stylish clothing donated by the Quotarians. The event, "Outfits for Opportunity," began with some great advice from Maryann Vance, the Human Resource director at the Hyatt Chesapeake Regency, about the importance of dressing well for a job interview.

Following the speech, came the activity that all the women were anxiously awaiting— shopping! The ladies thoroughly enjoyed perusing display racks laden with donated clothing such as skirts, dresses, blouses, jackets, and coats. Personal shoppers were available to offer advice, and light refreshments were served.

The junior Quotarians enthusiastically prepared for the event by collecting donations, sorting clothes, setting up the room, and fixing baked goods. Club members publicized the affair by contacting local churches to mention the program in their church bulletins, advertisements in the local newspaper, as well as an article in Women's View, a local news sheet. This successful venture of the junior Quota members certainly made a good impression on the group as well as the community at large.
