    Quota Cares Month—Honorable Mention Winner
Quota International of Taree, New South Wales, Australia

On March 2, the Taree Quota club successfully reached out to the community and recruits through an informational evening called "Drinks and Delights at Dusk." The evening featured a superb assortment of food, catered by club members, and a spectacular view of the river. A runway spotlighted the entertainment: Quotarians modeled clothes from Ladies Fashion House, which gave a percentage of the evening's sales to the club. This donation, as well as proceeds from ticket sales and a raffle for a $780 ladies' watch, will be used for service projects to benefit local charities.

The event generated a great deal of interest in the community. The club sent out over 100 invitations and included with them brochures on Quota International. The press publicized the event, and this exposure, as well as the event's success, resulted in the recruitment of two new members. At least six others, including the Mayoress of Taree, are hoping to join in the future. Perhaps most significant are the women who weren't present but hope to be in the future: the club extended special invitations to members of the Philippine and Aboriginal communities. While they were unable to attend, they expressed interest in working together on future projects, increasing the potential for Quota Taree to grow in the years to come.
